California Heights United Methodist Church is seeking a Church Secretary to maintain our office operations. This is a part-time, in-person position. The hours are Monday through Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Job duties include:
·answering phones and emails,
·assisting with preparation of weekly print bulletin and electronic newsletter, maintaining church files,
·preparation of church calendar,
·coordination with other church staff and volunteers,
·maintaining office equipment and supplies,
·sorting incoming mail,
·oversight of church database and electronic and paper files,
·coordinate facility use and user groups,
· and other tasks as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
Vacation and sick time; no medical benefits.
Skills needed: Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work efficiently with limited supervision and with teams; proficient in Microsoft Office and Google products; ability to work well with volunteers and parishioners. High school education or higher; previous job experience required.
Start Date: September 5, 2023
Hourly rate: $20/hr.
