Who should be baptized?

People of all ages can be baptized at Cal Heights UMC. Non-members are encouraged to seek membership as soon as possible after being baptized. We baptize by sprinkling water and making the sign of the cross on the forehead to invite the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The United Methodist Church recognizes baptisms from other faiths and churches and therefore does not re-baptize people, but we do encourage people to attend a special baptism worship service to remember their baptisms.

All baptisms are scheduled by contacting the church office. Please click on the link to request baptism above. All requests will be given to the senior pastor. After consulting with the senior pastor, a date will be set.
