Pastor Doug Dickson

Pastor Doug has been at Cal Heights since 2016. He has three beautiful children: Kylie, Aidan, and Madison. He enjoys playing music on piano and guitar as well as singing. Periodic triathlons and camping are some of his hobbies along with cooking and culinary experimentation.

Doug graduated from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio back in 1995 and has served as a United Methodist pastor in the San Diego and Inland Empire regions before coming to serve with us here in Long Beach.

Pastor Doug focuses his teaching and preaching on: 1) Sharing the unconditional and unending love of God that we see in the life and teachings of Jesus, 2) Bringing the Bible alive by imagining what the writers and preachers meant for the earliest hearers and readers to learn and live, and, 3) Letting everyone know that they are loved, invited, and accepted for who they are (by us and by God).
